๐Ÿ’—Dress Up, Fabric Fuku "Sailor Beauty" Figures ๐Ÿ’—

Bandai 1995 Sailor Moon: SuperS
(first half of the season)
"Sailor Beauty" Figures w/Fabric Outfits

These dolls were first released during the first half of the SuperS season, before the Inner Guardians gained their Super forms. All figures from this first release had round bead-shaped buttons in the centres of their bows. The Inner Guardians had short length back bows and plain neck ribbons. Each figure came with a white cloud-shaped stand, except SCM, who came with a smaller white heart-shaped stand. The boxes had pictures of the doll inside.

Bandai 1995 Sailor Moon: SuperS
(second half of the season)
"Sailor Beauty" Figures w/Fabric Outfits
These dolls were re-released during the second half of the SuperS season, this time with the Inner Guardians as Supers. All figures from this second release had heart bead-shaped buttons in the centres of their bows. All had long length back bows and the Inners neck ribbons have stars on them. Each figure came with a white cloud-shaped stand, except SCM, who came with a smaller white heart-shaped stand. SSM came with a small pink Moon Kaleidescope Wand, SCM came with a small pink Crystal Carillion (Twinkle Bell) and each Super Gaurdian came with a small pink Planet Power Stick. These were packaged in matching window boxes that displayed the figure inside.

During the Stars season the Super Outers were all released, with heart shaped buttons on their chest bows and long back bows, to  nicely match the Super Inners. Each came with her Pure Heart Talisman and/or Staff. Saturn is appropriately smaller than the adult Guardians, like SCM. ESM was also released, with lovely iridescent wings, upgraded face-paint and a blue chest bow compact.

A NOTE TO FELLOW COLLECTORS:

Unfortunately, b/c of the plasticizer used in these, which leaks out over time, these figures will STINK and feel sticky to the touch. (Seriously, the odor can stink up a room.)

I've found a decent way to significantly reduce the smell of leaking plasticizer: 1. remove the outfits and swirl them in a bowl of water with Woolite, rinse them thoroughly and let them air dry, 2. rinse the dolls in plain water (harsh soap or chemicals will make more plasticizer leak out!), 3. while they're still wet, bury them in Baking Soda and leave them there overnight. Rinse them again in plain water and pat dry with a towel. 4. The most important step is this: buy a dishwasher-safe sealer/finish (ModPodge) from a craft store (it SMELLS too but this will dissappate). Using any fluffy soft brush, coat the dolls, let it dry, then coat them again and possibly once more. This will seal over the pores that leak the plasticizer. (For these figures, a Matte Finish will match the original look of the figure. A Gloss finish would look pretty too though.)

You can do this for any old, flexy plastic toys that feel sticky to the touch--(for example, the "Romantic Heroine" dolls, the "Petit Soldiers" and some of the Yukata pendant figures).
